This has been the best place for me to read about other people that are going through the same things as me. The doctor said my TSH level indicated "very low thyroid function." My #s were as follows (w/ ref. range) - TSH = 13.5 (.45-4.5), T4 = 1.3 (.8-2.1) Thyroid antibody = 433 (<35), Thyroglobulin antibodies 72 (<41). So, 3 of 4 #'s were out of range and the other was slightly low.

If it were 20 years ago before the onset of this disease , and you were talking to him about this type of situation - I expect that he would have been horrified to think of himself in this position. Some days I want to keep my eyes closed all day. You are not alone there and I hope that your dry eye is just a function of hypothyroidism.
